We have extensive experience managing complex Subclass 820 Partner Visa applications in Australia and consistently achieve successful outcomes within a reasonable timeframe.
The Partner Visa is for people who are married to or in a de facto relationship with an eligible Australian partner. It is processed in two stages:
Subclass 820 is the temporary visa that lets you stay lawfully in Australia until your permanent visa is being assessed. This visa allows you to live, work and study in Australia while building your future with your partner. In most circumstances, applicants holding a Subclass 820 Temporary Partner Visa are also eligible to access Medicare, similar to those on a Bridging Visa A. After maintaining the Subclass 820 visa for a period of two years, you may become eligible to transition to the Subclass 801 Permanent Partner Visa, subject to meeting the relevant criteria.
Subclass 801 is the permanent visa that may be granted after you have held the 820 visa for at least 24 months, provided you continue to meet the eligibility requirements. The Subclass 801 Permanent Partner Visa permits eligible spouses or de facto partners to reside in Australia on a permanent basis. Upon grant of this visa, applicants may become eligible to apply for Australian citizenship and are entitled to the full range of benefits and privileges afforded to permanent residents.
To apply for a Partner Visa (Subclass 820 and 801), you must meet the following requirements under Australian migration law:
For Subclass 820 (Temporary Partner Visa)
For Subclass 801 (Permanent Partner Visa)
To be considered for the permanent Partner Visa (Subclass 801), you must:

One of the main benefits of a Partner visa, whether temporary or permanent, is the stability and peace of mind it offers. It allows you and your sponsoring partner, who may be an Australian citizen, permanent resident or eligible New Zealand citizen, to live together in Australia and continue building your life without the stress of uncertain visa conditions.
The Partner visa program also provides a range of important rights and entitlements even before permanent residency is granted, helping you settle with greater security and confidence.
Holding a Subclass 820 visa gives you access to important rights and benefits while living in Australia, including:
Once granted the Subclass 801 visa, you will have access to a wide range of rights and opportunities in Australia, including:

When applying for a Partner Visa (Subclass 820 and 801), there are two main types of costs to consider: the professional service fees for preparing your application, and the visa application charge set by the Department of Home Affairs.
Professional fees: At Easy Aussie Migration, our professional fees are based on the complexity of your case. Some applications require more time and attention than others, and our pricing reflects that. We offer fixed-fee arrangements so you know the total cost upfront, with no hidden charges along the way. For clients who may need it, flexible payment plans are also available. Our fees remain fair, competitive and always focused on delivering a high-quality application.
DHA fees: In addition to our service fee, you will need to pay the government lodgement fee. The Department of Home Affairs currently charges $9,365 for the main applicant. This amount must be paid in full at the time you lodge your application, and credit or debit card payments are accepted. Please note that a card surcharge will apply.
